- 'Receive, Return. Receive, Throw next'
Defense - Up and Down 6m 9m.
1. Partner High 5s - Meet your partner somewhere in the middle of 6-9m. Jump up and give a two handed high 5 at the highest point.
2. Partner Shoulder Bumps - Jump up and bump each other at the shoulders. Rotate Left and Right.
3. Partner High 5s plus push
4. Partner Body Checking - One hand on shooting arm (stop the pass). the other on the hip. (stop momentum)
5. Covering the shooting angle - Partner attempts a shot, You try to force her to shoot towards the weaker side by jumping up and covering the angle.
Monkey
- Emphasis on small quick steps. And gauging the timing of the pass to make that interception.
- If you cant make the intercept, at least make the opponent commit a weak pass.
Monkey + Clamp
- As of above. But add in timing of the clamp.
Shooting with defender
- Identifying when to go for the clamp. Which is the shooting hand.
- Moving the feet first. Staying grounded.
- Hands relaxed. Not going for the throat. Dangerous plays.
- Taking turns to be the defender.
